Our Sunday Liturgy is our main activity. Our priests are volunteers, who have full time roles elsewhere in education, religious formation and community work. Additionally, members of CIC volunteer to; read, sing, play music, be altar servers, assist with the offertory, arrange flowers, act as ushers and/or co-ordinate all of these. At certain times of the year we organise special liturgies, such as our Christmas Eve Mass, which includes a pageant by the younger children. At Easter we give special attention to the Holy Week Services. For many our Seder Meal followed by Holy Thursday is a new and very meaningful experience.
On Holy Days of Obligation we try to organise a Mass if possible.
During our Sunday liturgy we often have an opportunity for the children to have their own Liturgy of the Word, assuming of course that someone has volunteered to lead and assist with it.
At appropriate times of the year we try and organise penitential services, particularly in Advent and Lent. The Sacrament of Reconciliation is always available from one of our regular celebrants if you ask them. And we schedule the sacrament before Mass occasionally.
