Dear CIC Member
Reopening of places of worship and public celebration of Mass
Following the presidential directive that places of worship will commence phased re-opening for congregational worship in strict conformity of guidelines and protocols developed by the Inter-Faith Council and Kenya Conference of Catholic Bishops (KCCB), we are working closely with St Austin’s Parish and Loreto Msongari to comply with the directives and reopen for worship in due course. Meanwhile St. Austin’s have nine Masses this Sunday 19 July 2020 in the Halls next to the Church(currently under renovation), each for a maximum of 100 persons. Masses are also held daily at 7.00am and 5.45pm for a maximum of 100 persons. CIC members are invited to attend these Services. Please ensure you arrive well before the start of Mass to complete the necessary protocols.

An Act of Spiritual Communion
My Jesus,
I believe that You
are present in the Most Holy Sacrament.
I love You above all things,
and I desire to receive You into my soul.
Since I cannot at this moment
receive You sacramentally,
come at least spiritually into my heart.
I embrace You as if You were already there
and unite myself wholly to You.
Never permit me to be separated from You.

SACRAMENTS/PRE-CONFIRMATION CLASSES
We would like to thank in a very special way, our volunteer teachers – Nthenya, Carla, David, Monisha and Peter for their valuable time and services in having online classes for the Sacraments and Pre-Confirmation Classes. Following President Uhuru Kenyatta’s address to the Nation on the 6th of July, the restriction of children below the age of 13 years, not being permitted to attend Mass, and no Sunday School Classes, online classes will be the new normal. There is also uncertainty of when the Children registered for First Holy Communion and Confirmation will actually receive these Sacraments, however when the situation normalizes, and the children are prepared, after completing the respective syllabuses, a decision on dates can be made instantly. Our teachers will communicate with Parents directly with regard to the time frame for online classes.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank both the Parents and the children for registering for online classes.
Stay safe. Stay healthy
